Gruyères is a village located on top of a hill. A long long time ago, surrounded by enemies, the habitants of the village were very few and had large herds of goats. In an winter's night, the villagers decided to tie a lighted candle to the head of each goat and send them hill below. The enemies thought they were warriors and many ran away in fear. This little chapel was erected to thank God for the victory...
